What it's for
If browser or phone notifications aren't coming through, the cause is usually device permissions or your preference settings.
How to use it
- Check the status line under Settings → Notifications: it should say “On for this device”. If it doesn't, press “Turn on browser notifications”.
- If you see “Blocked in this browser”, allow notifications for the site in your browser's site settings and reload the page.
- On iPhone and iPad, add Metravise to your Home Screen and open it from there. Notifications on your phone
- In the preference table, check that the Browser column is on for that row and that you're not inside your quiet hours.
Good to know
- Do Not Disturb or battery-saver modes on your phone can delay notifications.
- At most six browser notifications are sent per hour; the rest still go to the bell.
